How do I enter the Prize?
The Prize is split into two separate categories – an award for the best published adventure novel and a award for the best unpublished manuscript by a debut author. We only accept fiction.
Best Published Novel | Prize: £15,000
Submission dates will be announced at the end of 2018. Novels must be published by a recognised trade publisher.
Best Unpublished Manuscript | Prize: £7,500 research travel grant and manuscript development support
Submission dates will be announced at the end of 2018. Manuscripts must be 50,000+ words. Writers must not be represented by a literary agent and cannot already have a novel published.
Please note, the travel grant is specifically for the winner to travel to research for their next story. All writers shortlisted receive professional development on their manuscript, intended to help each writer reach the standard necessary for submission to agents and publishers.
