An Interview with Caleb:

WNSF: What is your favourite book?

Caleb: My favourite book is Spy School Series by Stuart Gibbs. It is about a boy named Ben Ripley and his experiences in the CIA battling the evil forces of SPYDER. I love the Spy School Series because they are full of action and adventure.

WNSF: Who is your favourite author? Or one who has inspired you and why?

Caleb: One author who has inspired me is J.R.R. Tolkien. His use of words and the ability to capture my imagination is amazing. His storylines are intriguing and loaded with adventure. He was also very determined and tirelessly kept writing in those long years he took to complete The Lord of the Rings.

WNSF: What is your favourite subject at school?

Caleb: Physical Education is my favourite subject. I like being able to go outside to exercise and play.

WNSF: What does ‘adventure writing’ mean to you? Why did you choose to try your hand at an adventure story?

Caleb: Adventure writing is an opportunity for me to create anything by just using my imagination and creativity. I like to be able to use words to paint the picture that my characters are in.

WNSF: If you could ask an author anything, what would you want to know?

Caleb: I would like to ask J.R.R Tolkien where he got the idea to write The Lord of the Rings trilogy and why he decided to make it so long!

WNSF: Who would you consider one of your heroes and why?

Caleb: My mother is one of my heroes. She tirelessly teaches me and constantly guides me every step of the way. She also makes big sacrifices to give me the best.

WNSF: What is the most adventurous thing you would like to do, or place you would like to visit and why?

Caleb: I would love to visit the savannas of Africa and be able to see fascinating African wildlife such as leopards and elephants up close.

WNSF: Where do you find inspiration for your stories?

Caleb: I usually find my inspiration from books, especially adventure books. When I read, I am able to create the story's setting and hear the characters' words in my head.

WNSF: If you could time travel, where would you go and why?

Caleb: I would like to go back to the age of the dinosaurs and get to experience them in real life.

WNSF: What three words would you use to describe your story?

Caleb: Risk, Determination and Perseverance!
