An interview with Noah: 

What is your favourite book? 

The Land of Stories series of books by Chris Colfer. I could not put these down and did not want to stop between books. They are real page turners.

Who is your favourite author? Or one who has inspired you and why?

I have chosen Emma Carroll because her books tell the stories of fictional characters during historic events. She makes the characters really interesting and I always want to read the next chapter.

What is your favourite subject at school?

I really enjoy Outdoor Learning because we get set exciting tasks and challenges to complete in the woods and it involves lots of teamwork.

What does ‘adventure writing’ mean to you? Why did you choose to try your hand at an adventure story?

Adventure writing allows the reader to be part of an exciting adventure that might not happen to them in real life. For me, it allows me to write down adventures that I would like to go on or at least be part of one day.

If you could ask an author anything, what would you want to know?

How long does it take you to come up with a brilliant idea between books?

Who would you consider one of your heroes and why?

I would love to meet Cyril Chauquet from the Chasing Monsters TV series and go on adventures with him. He makes all his expeditions sound so exciting and dangerous and I like the way he describes his senses to the viewers as we’re watching. 

What is the most adventurous thing you would like to do, or place you would like to visit and why?

I would like to explore the rainforests of the world and see all the animals in their natural habitats. I would also like to meet some of the tribes, if they would allow me to.

Where do you find inspiration for your stories?

I love visiting castles and historic buildings. I really enjoy history and watching documentaries about historic events and places. I think that helps me to imagine some of the adventures that I would like to go on.

If you could time travel, where would you go and why? 

I would travel back to the Mesozoic Era so I could write about my adventures with dinosaurs!

What three words would you use to describe your story?

Mystical, Exciting, Dangerous.
