Kyra's fisherman father discovers a terrible conspiracy when he's out fishing one evening. After threatening to go the papers, he and Kyra's mother are in a car crash but their bodies are never found. Kyra vows to discover the truth about what happened to her parents and expose the environmental disaster they had discovered.

   Currently Flawed by Cecilia Ahern
2. Who is your favourite author? Or one who has inspired you and why?
   Gill Lewis because she promotes conservation and wildlife issues
3. What is your favourite subject at school?
   English
4. What does 'adventure writing' mean to you? Why did you choose to try your hand at an adventure story?
   It's taking a reader to new places through your imagination
5. If you could ask an author anything, what would you want to know?
   I would want to know, after the initial inspiration, how they find the willpower and maintain the quality of writing for a whole book
6. Who would you consider one of your heroes and why? (This does not have to be a writer…)
   Maddie Hinch (international hockey goalie) because at the peak of her career  when she had just won a Gold Medal at the Olympics, she decided to use her time to inspire others and teach
7. What is the most adventurous thing you would like to do, or place you would like to visit and why?
   I would like to learn to Scuba dive to be able to see the world under the sea
8. Where do you find inspiration for your stories? (Books, historical events, famous adventurers/explorers, news etc.)
   I find inspiration in my day to day life, in the books I read and in current affairs
9. If you could time travel, where would you go and why? 
   I'd like to time travel to when my grandparents were alive because I never knew any of them
10. What three words would you use to describe your story?
    Topical, exposing, reunion
