The Black Water Code by Sumanta Ganguli

The Black Water Code reveals the true history of a little-known British covert mission that had a dramatic impact on the outcome of the Second World War. It is narrated through the eyes of modern-day protagonist Matt Dickson, who in trying to find his missing grandfather stumbles upon the latter’s role in the liberation of an island that was annexed by the Japanese in 1943. Matt must travel to the other side of the world to decide whether his grandfather was a hero, or did his actions lead to atrocities and mass murder.
