OPPORTUNITY: Booksellers, Will You Put Adventure Front and Centre?

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Prize, we’re offering up to 100 bookshops across the UK free printed point of sale materials for the 2026 Prize shortlist, just as we do for 100 libraries.

If you are a bookseller, you can register your shop for materials above. If you're a reader, why not let your local bookshop know?

Booksellers, you can request the free materials for your shop and, by doing so, you will also automatically be in with a chance of securing credit to allow you to purchase stock that builds your selection of adventure novels. We will share a list of book recommendations to support you, but you know your customers best and you will have the final decision on which titles to buy. 

Digital materials will be shared for the longlist, shortlist and winner announcements, which you can use on your website and social media.

There is no deadline to register interest but we recommend completing the form as soon as possible to make the most of the materials over the summer - when the desire for adventure is at its highest! 

Key Dates: 

Longlist Announced: 30th April 2026

Shortlist Announced: 28th May 2026

Winner Announced: 17th September 2026

Bookshops receiving credit will be notified by 22nd June 2026. 

As usual, physical and digital library point of sale materials and digital assets will be freely available through The Reading Agency's online shop, once the shortlist has been announced.
